Job Description

We' re hiring Welders for our client, the world leader in technology and machinery for the manufacturing of cooked and marinated meat products, located in Browns Summit! This Temp-to-Hire opportunity has a pay range of $16.00-20.00 depending on experience, and a 1st shift working schedule (7: 30am-4: 00pm). This position requires 1-2 years of welding experience (MIG, TIG on stainless food grade metal, cosmetic weld), is within a climate-controllled facility, and offers a great benefits package after permanent hire. Responsibilities and Competency:
- Ability to meet or exceed weld quality standards for both MIG and TIG welding
- Capable of setting up welding equipment to include wire feed rate, gas selection, regulating current and voltage for proper fusion of metals
- Perform ordinary and repetitive hand welding operations, proficient welding vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
- Operate simple tools such as grinders, die cutters, drills, and cleaning brushes
- Maintain mechanical strength on standardized assemblies and products
- Positions pieces to be welded into jogs, holding fixtures, or guides
- Apply appropriate math to solve welding problems: whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and geometry
- Take measurements to ensure components meet tolerance per engineering drawings
- Select size and type of rod or wire appropriate for metal and welding applications
- Interpret welding symbols, abbreviations, and joint designs
- Capable of performing day-to-day activities with little supervision
- Understanding of quality requirements (weld quality and component distortion) and work to meet or exceed the baseline
- Stop work if operation is below quality standards and bring the discrepancy to the Supervisor' s attention
- Conduct simple maintenance and preventative maintenance on all welding equipment
